Coconino Amateur Radio Club Meeting Schedule

The Coconino Amateur Radio Club (CARC) meets at 7 PM on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Law Enforcement Administation Facility (LEAF), located at 911 E. Sawmill Rd. in Flagstaff, Arizona. The meetings are open to all licensed amateur radio operators, prospective amateur radio operators or anybody just interested in learning more about amateur radio, and what we do as a club.  Visitors are always welcome and we look forward to seeing you at our meetings.  If you have any questions about our club or the scheduled meetings please feel free to contact us at: CARC .

August 12, 2010Program: Gerry Blair of the CCSO will be presenting an overview of the organization and operation of the Citizen Corps Council.  The Citizen Corps Council is the local governing, coordinating body for volunteer organizations such as: Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), Volunteers in Policing (VIP) and Fire Corps. Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL)/Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) are an affiliate member of Citizen Corps.
September 9, 2010Program:  Nick Petro, WX3H, of the Flagstaff National Weather Service will be giving a presentation on the deployment and operation of the remote radio controlled rain gauges that have been deployed in the Schultz Fire burn area.  These devices utilize APRS technology and this promises to be an interesting talk.
